8. A Sunday full of "lasts" and farewells

Sunday, Nov. 1
Today was a day full of bittersweet "lasts" and farewells.

• Naomi sang with the Epworth choir during the FUMC service. They sang all the verses of "Go Ye, Go Ye Into The World" (appropriate!)
• Isaac was one of the eight or nine 11th graders who served communion. That was pretty sweet to be served communion by Isaac and his friend Peter Slotten!
• During the afternoon and evening we worked furiously on packing and moving.
• Decided to go ahead and go to the Harvest Dinner at church. We picked up friend Margie Minor as planned and were delighted that Becca and her mom, Lori Hiemstra, could join us there. Becca will return to East Africa in January, it sounds like, to do humanitarian relief in DR Congo. If all goes well, we should get to see her while we're in Rwanda!
